Infos all about Data Recovery
Data loss can happen to anyone. No matter how high your security measures are, material fatigue, wear and tear, incorrect use or manipulation, causes data loss to happen daily in the United Kingdom.
If you should also be subject to a case of data loss, get in touch with our specialists right away. We will work closely with you or your own specialist to investigate the situation and find the best recovery solution for you.
What is a clean room and why is it so important for data recovery?
The special feature of a clean room is its controlled atmosphere, primarily regarding dust particles. The air is continuously filtered and returned to the room in a laminar flow, without creating eddies. The grade of cleanness is expressed in classes from 1 to 10,000 with 1 representing the smallest number of particles per unit volume. The greatest "enemy" of the clean room is man - a rich source of dust particles. This is why those who work in clean room must always wear protective clothing.
According to established standards, hard disks may only be opened in clean rooms with a class of 100 or less. This avoids minute particles of dirt and dust settling on the disk surface and causing damage to the heads or the magnetic surface coating when the drive motor runs up.
The clean rooms of "CONVAR -The data recovery team" are continuously monitored. The clea- ned air is fed into the clean rooms through particle counters. These measure the number and size of the dust particles. The measurement results are recorded several times a day.
Opening a hard disk outside a clean room can lead to irreparable loss of data!
This printout of a measurement report shows the result of a particle measurement in a closed office. The results show how many particles there are in normal room air. In the size range up to 0.3 µm, there were over 32,000 particles per cubic metre of air. In the size range from 0.3 µm to 0.5 µm there were still more than 6,200 particles per cubic metre.
This printout shows the particle measurement results for one of our clean rooms. The particle counters continuously measure the filtered and cleaned air. So-called report printers continuously print out the measurement results for archiving. Only by using clean rooms and monitoring them continuously with particle counters, can it be ensured that, during data recovery, additional damage by dust particles is excluded.
